The Risk Management D-Class team is responsible for development and support of agile, quick delivery solutions. As an Engineer 2, you will be part of a project team responsible for all phases of the software development lifecycle. As an Engineer 2 you will be responsible for using your technical knowledge of professional concepts to solve business problems. We are looking for a talented individual that can serve as a subject matter expert in their area of focus and represent their department on complex assignments. You will be responsible for evaluating elements of technology’s effectiveness through requirements gathering, testing, research and investigation and make recommendations for improvements that result in increased quality and effectiveness. You will be required to listen to and evaluate customer needs to determine and provide high quality solutions that align with customer expectations.

As an Engineer 2, Software you will be involved in the folloiwng:

  • Leading project teams in design and implementation

  • Using broad expertise and skills to resolve a wide range of complex issues

  • Contributing to development of company objectives and principles to achieve goals in creative and effective ways

  • Assisting in the development of strategic planning for department

  • Reviewing, analyzing and implementing business requirements to develop and/or modify custom applications

  • Assisting in defining, developing, communicating and implementing standards, processes and procedures for the department

  • Analyzing and reviewing software requirements to determine feasibility of a design within time and cost restraints

  • Researching and seeking out upcoming technologies that would be beneficial to the team

Required:

  • Must be presently authorized to work in the U.S. without a requirement for work authorization sponsorship by our company for this position now or in the future

  • 3+ years’ experience in software programming and development utilizing the Microsoft stack (utilizing Microsoft technology)

  • 3+ years' experience with SQL and C#

  • 3+ years' experience working with ASP.NET MVC and SQL Server

  • Strong knowledge of object-oriented application development principles, concepts, and object-oriented analysis and design

  • Experience with IIS web server

  • Must be committed to incorporating security into all decisions and daily job responsibilities

Preferred:

  • Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Computer Information Systems, Management Information Systems, or related field preferred

  • Knowledge in Azure PaaS, ASP.NET Web Api, Entity Framework, WebForms

  • Knowledge of Javascript, XML, HTML, CSS

  • Proficient in source control and work tracking, such as Visual Studio Team Service

  • Experience with Git, SSIS, Angular and .NET Core

  • Proficient development knowledge of Microsoft Office desktop applications software

  • Strong communication skills to effectively communicate with various IT teams

  • Knowledge of Agile methodology

  • Familiarity with Legacy Microsoft technologies, e.g. VBA, Access, etc.
