Overview

Enterprise/National/Alamo Rent A Car is excited to announce immediate openings for a Security Guard located at O’Hare Multi-Modal Facility (Rental Car Facility) and the Maintenance Center directly adjacent the MMF. The Security Guard controls the activity of vehicles entering and exiting the property through a guard gate. The Security Guard will perform all responsibilities in accordance with our Quality Standards. This is a full time overnight position working 40 hours per week. The position starts at $18/hour.

Schedule : 2:00pm - 11:30pm 5 days a week

Responsibilities

• Ensure the overall safety and security of the employees, vehicles, lot and equipment

• Scan all vehicles leaving the property so the movement of vehicles can be accounted for and authorized

• Confirm credentials of all employees, vendors, and visitors ensuring all people on property are authorized

• Do lot checks and ensure all keys to vehicles are in their proper location (security lock box or otherwise)

• Manage and communicate with outside Security vendor to ensure they are completing their security and perimeter checks and are on alert

• Complete guard logs for each shift

• Turn in all administrative paperwork at the end of each shift to the proper manager

• Maintain the appearance of the security booth and surrounding area to present a neat and orderly image

• Perform miscellaneous job-related duties as assigned

• All personnel should be of high integrity and possess exemplary security skills and judgment

Qualifications

• Must be at least 18 years of age

• Must be authorized to work in the United States and not require work authorization sponsorship by our company for this position now or in the future

• Must have 1 year previous security guard experience

• Must be able to understand, read, write, and speak English

• Must have a current, valid driver's license

• Driving record must be in good standing with no more than 2 moving violations and/or at-fault accident within the last 3 years

• Must be willing to work for $18/hr

• Must have basic computer skills

• Must be willing to work in all weather conditions

• Must be willing to stand for long periods of time

• Must be able to work:Tuesday, Wednesday, Thursday, Friday and Saturday 2:00pm - 11:30pm
