Overview
National and Alamo has an exciting opportunity for an Automotive Technician Apprentice. The Automotive Technician Apprentice works under little supervision and follows established procedures to accomplish assigned tasks. The tech will perform mechanical repairs on equipment as needed by management.This position requires the exercise of reasonable judgment and initiative. Performs all responsibilities with a focus on the needs of our customers and in accordance with our Quality Standards.
Hourly rate of $26 / hour

Location- Detroit Metro Airport- 338 Lucas Drive. Detroit MI, 48242 (Romulus Area)
Must have open availability, including mornings, afternoons, evenings, weekends, and holidays

Responsibilities
Performs all work in accordance with established safety procedures
Completes required paperwork utilizing fleet maintenance software program associated with repairing vehicles, documenting parts usage, and accounting for repair times
Assists in the repair and adjustment of equipment
Conducts safety checks on vehicles
Assists senior Mechanics in the completion of project work
Performs other maintenance related work as required
Maintains a clean, safe work area in compliance with Corporate / OSHA Standards

Qualifications
High school Diploma or GED required
Minimum 2 ASE's required
2 years of experience in automotive field
Valid driver’s license with no more than 2 moving violations in the past 3 year and no DUI/DWI or any other drug or alcohol related convictions in the past 5 years
Must be at least 18 years of age
Must be authorized to work in the United States and not require work authorization sponsorship by our company for this position now or in the future
Ability to perform physical requirements of the position with or without reasonable accommodations
