We are looking for an experienced Claims professional with strong leadership skills to cultivate this team and join in the implementation of methodologies focused on employee engagement and development.
Monitor performance of direct reports and provide timely and effective feedback through meetings, file reviews and performance reviews
Maintain and work diaries consistent with office requirements providing direction/feedback as needed
Review claim files submitted for direction or authority and provide timely direction/feedback
Ensure report group adheres to company policies, procedures and guidelines.
Work with direct reports to ensure appropriate investigation, evaluation and settlement of claims
Monitor and control workload/inventory issues
Assist with litigation strategy and monitor the management of defence solicitors
Participate in trials, hearings and other appearances
Assist with recruiting, hiring and training
Conduct Quality Assurance Program (QAP) file reviews, identify trends and provide feedback
The successful candidate will have held a Claims Supervisor or Manager position managing third party liability claims within the vehicle rental industry.
Additional experience required in the following:
Employee, alleged negligent entrustment and alleged vehicle defect motor claims
Fraud recognition and resolution strategy
Operational experience within the vehicle rental industry
Complex claims management
An understanding of vehicle repair, medical terms and legal concepts
Hiring, managing and developing a team
Developing and facilitating training programs
Conducting internal file reviews and active participation in a claims quality assurance program
Must be willing to travel if necessary
