Enterprise Holdings Building Maintenance Technician in Philadelphia, Pennsylvania

Enterprise Holdings has an exciting opportunity for a Building Maintenance Technician. The Building Maintenance Technician is responsible for the general maintenance and repair of building assets. This position is also responsible for basic maintenance and organization to ensure that facilities and equipment are in good condition at all times for customers and employees.

This is a full time position that starts at $21.00/hour. The position will help support the greater Philadelphia area.

The Building Maintenance Technician will be responsible for a wide variety of general building maintenance repairs and services including but not limited to:

  • Routine general maintenance and repair work such as electrical, mechanical, plumbing, painting, carpet/floor cleaning, and snow and ice removal

  • Timely completion of work orders generated by call-in requests and scheduled preventative maintenance

  • Maintenance and repair work including:

  • Mechanical repairs

  • Ceiling tile replacement

  • Minor drywall repair

  • Interior and exterior painting

  • Hardward repairs and installation such as door closers/knobs, fixtures, shelves, locks

  • Furniture repair

  • HVAC filter changes

  • Window cleaning

  • Carpet intstallation

  • Basic plumbing repair/knowledge

  • SDS knowledge and OSHA knowledge and compliance

  • Exhibit a professional appearance and comply with all uniform requirements

  • Perform duties of the company’s preventative maintenance program

  • Troubleshoot mechanical problems

  • Move items as needed (i.e. furniture, file cabinets, boxes, artwork etc.)

  • Delivery of office and building supplies

  • Small appliance and equipment installation (pressure washers, air compressors, etc…)

  • Working outside in all types of weather and temperatures and in a typical office environment

  • Use a variety of equipment: a large assortment of vehicles (may include 15-passenger vans and airport buses), safety belts, 2-way radio or cellular phone, phone system, computer/tablet, printer, fax, cleaning tools and solutions

  • Miscellaneous duties as assigned

  • Must be at least 18 years old.

  • Must have a valid unrestricted drivers license.

  • Advanced certifications obtained in 1 or more of the following required: Facility Maintenance, Environmental Health & Safety, HVAC, Plumbing, and/or Electrical systems

  • Must have at least 5 years of work experience in the following:

  • Trade experience: carpentry, drywall, electrical and/or plumbing

  • Hands on building/facilities maintenance, mechanical experience, and HVAC

  • Must be able to lift and carry 75 lbs, climb a ladder up to 10 ft. and operate various power tools

  • Must be authorized to work in the United States and not require work authorization sponsorship by our company for this position now or in the future.

  • Must have satisfactory background check inclusive of driving (no more than 2 moving violations and/or at fault accidents in the past 3 years, and no drug or alcohol related conviction on driving record in the last 3 years) criminal, employment reference, education and social security. A conviction will not necessarily disqualify you for employment. Rather, such factors as age and date of conviction, seriousness and nature of the crime, and rehabilitation will be considered. Applicants will not be asked about their criminal record and no criminal background checks will be conducted unless and until a conditional offer of employment has been extended.

  • Must be willing to accept starting pay of $21.00/hr.

  • Apart from religious observations, must be able to work the following shift: Monday - Friday 8:00am - 5:00pm
