The Rental Operations Solutions Department (ROPS) is responsible for the overall product health of all Rental applications. This includes LaunchPad (mobile rental product), ECARS, Odyssey, Kiosk and DASH. This team will focus on maturing and operationalizing the mobile rental product (LaunchPad), enhancing operational metrics and processes, cross-cutting processes like Rental Release Management and QA practices. The goal of this team is to deliver Reliable, Relevant and Resilient software that meets product availability and success rate requirements. This team collaborates with our Business Product Management team on prioritization for delivery and to ensure KPI’s (Key Performance Indicators) are met.
As the Department Manager for the ROPS Department, you will partner with executive and technical leadership to ensure adequate product health across all Rental Products, create the strategic plan and roadmap to ensure LaunchPad is operationalized and stable. You will be required to ensure Security Policy and Standards; Global Compliance; Definition and Design standards are met. The Rental Operations Solutions Department will provide stewardship across IT solutions groups, IT architecture, Product Management, Information Security Office, Third Party Vendors and Partners, and Executive Leadership. As the leader of the team, you will be charged with establishing and influencing a Stable Rental Platform, establishing clear roles and responsibilities and processes as it relates to product health, identifying and filling gaps, identifying inefficiencies, and planning for future capabilities the team would take ownership of. The ROPS leader will champion awareness, standards, and holistic visibility across the global IT organization. As one of the Department Managers of the ROPS Department you will work with your peers to ensure the Department is meeting business needs and accountable to measured success. You will work closely with the ROPS Director to ensure Department goals are met.

Key Areas of Responsibility:
Collaborate with Product Management, IT Solution groups, Vendors and Partners, Security, and Executive Leadership to establish mature rental products, and compliance in the countries in which we operate
Provide leadership for the ROPS practice, including identifying opportunities to transform the architecture to provide for future sustainability and optimization
Define and build the LaunchPad maturity model including management, governance, support and operational processes and their related tools, standards, patterns, and guidelines, as well as assessing when and how to incorporate industry techniques in a timely manner
Partner to influence and advocate IT strategies, policies, principles and practices that are aligned with the operational strategy of the business
Scan the horizon for emerging management tools, skills, techniques and technologies, to ensure their timely introduction
Understand technological requirements necessary to implement solutions as well as team’s ability to design them
Develop standards to measure progress of the ROPS practice against established objectives such as revenue, expense management, utilization metric, delivery quality and customer satisfaction; while ensuring performance and timely achievement of goals and objectives

Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Computer Information Systems, Management Information Systems, or related field preferred
Previous experience with an API centric development practice
Experience maturing/operationalizing large applications
