Enterprise Mobility Construction Manager - Planning, Design, & Construction in St. Louis, Missouri
Overview
As we continue to build our team in support of our vision to be the world’s best and most trusted mobility company, the Planning, Design, & Construction team is excited to announce the opening of a Construction Manager.
The Construction Manager is responsible for overseeing all aspects of facility design, construction, and renovation for Enterprise, National, and Alamo for assigned regions in the United States and Canada. This position is also responsible for facility program analysis and the development of recommendations for the best facility size and design to support maximum profitability and growth.

Responsibilities
Conduct facility program analyses (Throughput Analysis), which includes analysis of location traffic patterns, space usage, business flow and volume to determine and recommend the best facility size and design to support the business and processes while maintaining environmental compliance and brand standards for the best customer experience
Lead a team to create schematic designs and construction project plans and present to Group management
Prepare accurate construction budgets based on construction industry knowledge to predict costs; constantly monitor budgets, identifying actual costs that are not in line based on industry standards and negotiate to resolve; communicate with Groups any discrepancies between the actual costs and budgeted costs, providing insight and explanation regarding the discrepancy
Evaluate bids for and select the project team
Hire and coordinate the efforts of the architects, engineers and contractors
Oversee out-sourced project managers, providing direction and ensuring projects are completed on time, within budget and to specifications
Represent the Company at meetings with airports and governmental agencies regarding construction projects
Collaborate with other departments to ensure the project goals meet business objectives
Conduct due diligence review, working with local municipalities and/or airports to identify considerations to be addressed as part of the project and coordinate obtaining any necessary permits for moving forward
Research and identify environmental compliance concerns or considerations and adjust project accordingly
Review and negotiate contracts with external vendors, architects, engineers, contractors and project managers
Review and approve detailed invoices (payment applications), as well as any contractual additions or subtractions from the work (change orders) and their resulting cost or schedule adjustments
Seek to improve job performance through self-assessment, skill development, training and goal setting

Qualifications
Minimum:
Bachelor’s Degree (Business, Construction Management, Engineering, or applicable field preferred)
Must be authorized to work in the United States and not require work authorization sponsorship by our company for this position now or in the future
Five (5) years or more of experience in construction project management
Previous experience with contract negotiation, bidding and awarding contracts
Previous experience composing executive-level project analyses
Basic proficiency with Microsoft Office Products
Ability to travel monthly (2 or more days monthly)
Preferred:
Proficiency with AutoCAD
Proficiency with Procore
