Enterprise Holdings Content & Publicity Director in St. Louis, Missouri

Enterprise Holdings is looking for a Content & Publicity Director! This person manages and executes brand publicity and content marketing efforts across earned, owned and paid media channels, including traditional and social, for the Alamo, National and Enterprise brand portfolio including, but not limited to, Enterprise Rent-A-Car, Enterprise CarShare, Exotic Car Collection, Commute by Enterprise, Enterprise Truck Rental and Enterprise Car Sales. This role will work with senior level executives and external agency partners, business line directors and various levels of management within the field operations to manage and coordinate consistency in the flow of communication and ensure brand messages are effectively delivered in the external environment. The Content & Publicity Director will leverage his or her writing skills, along with leadership, creative, organizational, and project management skills to bring significant and valuable exposure to the Enterprise, Alamo and National brands and Enterprise’s multiple business lines. Currently, the position has oversight of more than $8 million in budget and a roster of five agencies. This position will have a minimum of one direct report.

  • Develop, manage, present and execute brand publicity and content efforts across earned, owned and paid media channels, including traditional and social media

  • Create customized brand publicity plans to effectively drive business objectives, brand marketing initiatives and strategies

  • Direct community management strategy and seek ways to continually engage not only owned communities but leverage social listening tools to mine for opportunities

  • Oversee brand content marketing strategy for Enterprise, Alamo and National’s websites and owned social networks, including day-to-day management of concept reviews, quality control, contract and legal compliance etc. and collaboration with internal teams including web, insight & analytics, media and search to meet brand marketing goals

  • Consult with multiple business lines and various marketing disciplines to determine if and how brand publicity can help meet their objectives

  • Manage proactive and reactive brand media relations efforts and maintain relationships with appropriate trade/press editors, reporters and bloggers

  • Coordinate with corporate and field executives and directors to respond to consumer-related media queries; and with appropriate subject matter experts within the company to respond to topic-related media queries

  • Ensure public relations, social media, influencer marketing and content marketing efforts are integrated, and aligned with brand strategies

  • On publicity-related topics, serve as external face of the brand(s) with senior level agency representatives and sponsorship partners

  • Serve as media trainer for employees, brand representatives or spokespersons for Brand Publicity efforts with news outlets and reporters

  • Manage team of agencies, and internal team members who are responsible for developing and/or editing brand publicity materials and content including: videos, social posts, press releases, pitch letters, web article content, influencer blog posts, etc.

  • Stay abreast of, and adhere to, best practices, platform policy guidelines, rules of participation etc. to remain relevant and up-to-date in a quickly changing social media landscape

  • Support executives and sales teams in planning for meetings, events and presentations with the development of messaging, remarks and other materials related to content marketing, social media and influencer marketing, and media relations

Minimum:

  • Bachelor's Degree required

  • Ten (10) years or more of experience in public relations, social media or communications required

  • Five (5) years or more of Marketing and/or agency experience required

  • Five (5) years or more supervisory experience required

  • Content production and online networks experience preferred

  • Must be authorized to work in the US and not require work authorization sponsorship by our company for this position now or in the future
