The Information Security Office (ISO) has an immediate need for an Engineer 1, Security. The Engineer 1, Security is responsible for supporting, documenting, and maintaining physical and service-oriented application security infrastructure tools, with a focus on security alerting and operational automation. The position will be required to work closely with security teams, vendors, and application teams to engineer and support a dynamic, complex, and diverse set of cyber security solutions.
As an Engineer 1 you will also be responsible for using your technical knowledge of cyber security concepts to protect Enterprise Holdings from internal and external threats. We are looking for a talented individual that can serve as a subject matter expert in their area of focus. You will participate in evaluating elements of technology’s effectiveness through requirements gathering, testing, research and investigation and make recommendations for improvements that result in increased quality and effectiveness of our Global Cyber Security (GCS) teams. You will be required to listen to and evaluate customer needs to determine and provide high quality solutions that align with customer expectations.
Maintain operational support and development of SIEM alerting (we use Splunk ES)
Maintain operational support and development of new Security Orchestration, Analytics and Reporting (SOAR) platform
Create and maintain operational documentation used by GCS
Participate in a global deployment model and on-call support as needed
Serve in an ownership role to continuously improve services, streamline internal processes, and maximize effectiveness

1+ years of Information Technology Engineering experience
Must have IT Security knowledge
Ability to read and understand system, database and application log files
Ability to build and modify Splunk searches
Familiarity with a SIEM platform
Strong troubleshooting skills, with the ability to identify necessary steps of a solution and move an initiative to the goals
Must have good written and verbal communication skills and the ability to effectively communicate to various levels of management and with people with varying technical knowledge
Ability to work on small to large, moderately complex assignments that may require research and advanced skill application
Strong interest in new technologies
Must be committed to incorporating security into all decisions and daily job responsibilities
Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Computer Information Systems, Management Information Systems, or related field preferred
Scripting knowledge is preferred, such as Python, PowerShell, or other scripting language is a preferred
Ability to create automation using scripting languages is preferred
