The Location Services team is excited to announce an opportunity for an Engineer 1 to join our dynamic team. This role will work in an Agile environment and will be responsible for designing, developing, building, testing, implementing and supporting critical solutions for Enterprise Holdings, Inc. These proprietary solutions are focused on EHI’s more than 10,000 branch locations and include front-end applications for maintaining branch attributes like hours of operation, address, and phone numbers and service applications that are to retrieve branch information or direct consumers to the branch that is closest to them by leveraging geographic and point-of-interest search capabilities. We work closely with our Business Stakeholders from around the globe, for all our brands, to make enhancements to our applications and to stay ahead in our ever-evolving global operations.
As an Engineer 1 – Software, you will be responsible for developing and modifying elements of the Location Services solution and assisting with design. You will also test, research, and investigate the effectiveness of elements of technology along with assisting with requirements gathering for the solution. You will work on routine to moderately complex assignments and will normally receive detailed instructions on work assignments from senior members of the team. This is an exciting role in a fast paced, collaborative team that consistently works on high-priority efforts to meet the organizational needs.

1+ years of experience with an Object Oriented programming language (can include experience from formal education)
Ability to work in a fast-paced, high demand and challenging environment
Ability and desire to learn new skills and deepen existing expertise
Must be committed to incorporating security into all decisions and daily job responsibilities
Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Computer Information Systems, Management Information Systems, or related field preferred
Experience with Agile development methodologies and tools such as Scrum, JIRA, and Confluence
Strong communication skills including the ability to effectively communicate with people of varying technical knowledge
Experience with Maven, Git/BitBucket, Jenkins
Experience with application servers such as WebLogic and Tomcat
Experience with unit testing and jUnit
Experience with Spring, Hibernate, and ThymeLeaf Frameworks
Knowledge of GIS applications
Knowledge of Oracle-based databases
Strong troubleshooting skills
Ability to work in a fast-paced, high demand, and challenging environment
