Overview

The Director of Global Brand Strategy and Experience directs the Company's global brand portfolio strategy, brand experience and governance. This includes analyzing insights on brand health/equity, potential market opportunities to inform business strategies, and effectively communicate our brand purpose, audiences and guidelines by managing the strategic brand model, and governance of core identity elements for all brands and lines of businesses within each brand. This position leads a team responsible for defining the brand strategy and holistic design elements that brings the brand to life, including logo, collateral, environments, events, wearables, digital elements, etc. for customers, employees and key audiences, as well as brand identity solutions such as logos, brand signage, directional signage and facility layout for all customer facing areas. The Director of Global Brand Strategy and Experience partners closely globally and cross-functionally with customer experience, employee experience, loyalty, content, insights, digital, communications, operations, facilities, among many others.

This position is located at our Corporate Headquarters in Clayton, MO.

Responsibilities

  • Understand and evaluate global business, consumer and market landscapes to partner and develop 3-5 year brand strategies. Proactively identify changing consumer or business opportunities assessing potential adjustments to the strategy.

  • Analyze and interpret research relating to brand, competitive activities; marketplace conditions and trends; white space opportunities.

  • Develop and maintain global brand strategy including brand framework, segments, brand experience, design, identity.

  • Oversee the holistic design approach and elements including, but not limited to digital elements, identity and photography assets, environmental design etc.

  • Act as global steward of brands and in partnership build global brand governance.

  • Partner globally and with cross-functional partners to integrate brand strategy, experience and design throughout customer and employee journey, and to ensure the operational feasibility.

  • Ensure consistency with customer experience and brand presentation through standardization of architectural, environmental and physical/digital brand elements, and lead global governance to ensure guidance accessibility.

  • Lead and partner with agencies and vendors on brand strategy and experience, as well as development.

  • Other responsibilities as assigned.

Qualifications

Minimum:

  • Bachelor’s Degree in Marketing or related field

  • Must be authorized to work in the United States and not require work authorization sponsorship by our company for this position now or in the future

  • Ten (10+) or more years of Global Marketing experience

  • Five (5+) or more years of leading a large or Global team

  • Client-side agency or vendor management experience

  • Experience in developing brand architecture, guidelines and brand identity across a portfolio of brands, products or services

  • Experience with launching/growing and/or repositioning a portfolio of brands globally

  • Successful track record in leading a high performing team

  • Demonstrated ability to build strong business partnerships globally and cross functionally

  • Experience with brand development, experience, design, specifically the leading the development of brand identity elements (such as logos, brand guidelines, branding elements, and environmental design) and the process by which those elements are developed, introduced and launched preferred

  • Digital strategy/experience preferred

  • Travel, transportation or hospitality space experience preferred
