Enterprise Holdings Government and Public Affairs Analyst in St. Louis, Missouri
Overview
The Government and Public Affairs Analyst supports the department by researching and analyzing proposed legislation, regulation and other public policy such as municipal ordinances. This position is responsible for assisting in the development of policy position papers, other messaging deliverables, and facilitating communication of policy issues between the Corporate Government Affairs team and the operating groups. Additionally, the Analyst acts as a project manager in the coordination of complex policy development and advocacy campaigns, coordinating internal and external communications, interfacing with participating thought leaders, and ensuring timely coordination of outcomes. This position works with state teams to assist with their advocacy efforts.
The ideal candidate for this exciting opportunity has a strong interest in government and public policy; and has direct experience working with, or in, government. Candidates without direct government experience should have experience in strategic analysis, business policy development and/or related business practice analysis/development.
This role is ideal for the candidate with exceptional communication and organizational skills and a keen understanding of modern digital communication tools that are increasingly used to shape public policy. In addition to government and/or policy experience, direct or indirect work with the automotive industry, sharing/digital economy or property & casualty insurance industry is desired but not required.
This position is located at our Corporate Headquarters in Clayton, MO, with a hybrid schedule available.

Responsibilities
Provide field operations with information on current and upcoming federal,state, and municipal legislation and recommend actions that can be taken; manage the flow of information between state teams and the corporate office on public policy and political issues
Analyze and evaluate the impact of government policy and regulations on the organization's activities and objectives; make recommendations regarding where efforts should be focused
Research, interpret, and analyze proposed changes to regulations or government policy and prepare reports on how these changes may impact the organization
Assist in the development of public policy position papers and other advocacy materials to promote the organization's position on public policy matters
Coordinate working groups for issue-specific policy development and issue advocacy, including internal and external coordination of participants, communications, and facilitation of work product
Identify influential government candidates and incumbents and provide state teams with proposals to advocate for the company's position

Qualifications
Required:
Bachelor’s Degree
Five (5+) years of strategic analysis, business policy development, or other related business practice analysis or development
Must be authorized to work in the United States and not require work authorization sponsorship by our company for this position now or in the future
Preferred:
- Two (2+) years of Government, public policy, political or public affairs experience
