CarShare enables our business and retail members to enjoy a fully automated rental experience both internationally and domestically. CarShare rentals can be made by the hour, day or week using the Enterprise CarShare Mobile Application or Website. We also offer booking capabilities through third party applications. The CarShare division operates in the United States, United Kingdom, Canada, and is currently expanding across Europe. In this role, you will contribute to the expansion of CarShare in many ways including gathering requirements and performing quality assurance (QA) testing as we enhance our reservation system to support our multi-lingual customers.
The CarShare IT solution team is responsible for designing, developing, and supporting the products and capabilities that make car sharing possible at Enterprise. Key areas of focus include in-car technologies linked via cellular data networks (telematics) along with systems that enable member on-boarding, reservation and availability, pricing and billing functionality. Additionally, consumer facing web sites and mobile application are critical to the model. As a technology team goes, we utilize a little bit of everything set in a challenging, fun and exciting environment.
As a, IT Business Analyst , you will play a critical role in the application development life-cycle and will be responsible for gathering, documenting, analyzing, reviewing, and maintaining detailed functional requirements to support the Agile product development process. You will serve as an interface between our IT team and the business stakeholders we support, as well as with subject matter experts from across the EHI organization. As a member of a development team, you will be working closely with our project manager, software engineers/architects and quality analysts to maintain our existing solutions and implement new functionality. With your team, you will be responsible for evaluating business requests and identifying options that best serve business needs.
To be successful you will need to demonstrate a strong ability to:
Identify and prioritize the needs of multiple stakeholders.
Communicate effectively across various audiences including your IT development team, other IT teams, business teams and vendors.
Prepare and deliver formal presentations to end users, stakeholders, and management.
Develop, review, validate, document, and maintain business and functional requirements.
Coordinate and facilitate meetings to define key capabilities and requirements that will enable stakeholders to define business strategy.
Serve as the primary interface between the product team/business and the IT development team, acting as a liaison to our software engineers to explain business requests, field questions, and validate that technical solutions meet the requested functionality.
Conduct structured walkthroughs of requirements with business and development team members.
Support test engineers for testing, quality assurance, end-user acceptance testing and validation for new or revised applications; may perform application, system and regression tests.
Identify potential problems that may arise with new or enhanced applications; communicate how problems will affect business.
Identify gaps, overlaps, and conflicting information in scope and requirements.
Display leadership and team centric skills, as well as strong problem-solving skills

2 or more years of related experience
Ability to gather, review, validate, and document functional business requirements/specifications and use cases
Experience performing manual tests and identifying and creating test plans to validate functionality
Experience working as an IT Business Analyst (Experience with an Enterprise product or application preferred)
Strong ability to build and maintain relationships across IT and business partners
Must be a motivated self-starter with good desktop technology skills
Must be creative and innovative
Must have ability to effectively communicate with various business and IT teams
Must be able to facilitate, lead and drive meetings
Must be adaptable to working in a varied remote environment
Must be flexible to occasionally travel to EHI office locations for in-person meetings
Must have ability to identify potential problems and solve issues
Must have excellent time management and prioritization skills
Must be flexible in the face of changing priorities and requirements
Must have experience or knowledge with Agile methodologies, specifically story writing
Ability to interpret requirements and effectively translate them for various audiences
Demonstrate strong organizational skills with attention to detail and customer focus
Experience with issue tracking tools such as JIRA as well as wiki and diagramming tools
Must be committed to incorporating security into all decisions and daily job responsibilities
Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Computer Information Systems, Management Information Systems, or related field preferred
Prior experience working with various programming languages
Ability to read and/or write SQL
Experience writing user stories and backlog grooming
Experience preparing and delivering informal and formal presentations to own team, department, other IT teams, senior leadership, and business partners
Exposure to Kanban and Scrum
Knowledge of Backend Services, such as, REST and SOAP
