Responsibilities

Enterprise Holdings, Inc. seeks an IT Engineer 3 at its facility located at 2281 Ball Drive, Maryland Heights, MO 63146.

Design, develop, and modify many different elements of technology. Understand advanced methods, theories, and research techniques to establish ongoing direction and implementation of the technology vision and strategy. Act as a subject matter expert in multiple technology areas to positively represent the team within and outside of the department. Lead implementations and provide viable recommendations for implementing new solutions. Provide instruction and guidance to less senior team members on new tasks and assignments, ensuring deadlines are met. Daily collaborate with architects and other engineer leads and recommend adjustments to the architecture to improve the overall quality and integration. Monitor key performance metrics to ensure compliance with established standards, processes, and procedures. Use technical knowledge of professional concepts to solve business problems. Serve as a subject matter expert in the focus area and represent the department on complex assignments. Evaluate elements of technology’s effectiveness through requirements gathering, testing, research, and investigation and make recommendations for improvements that result in increased quality and effectiveness. Listen and evaluate customer needs to determine and provide high-quality solutions that align with customer expectations. Design, modify, and develop high complexity code independently within or outside various teams using applicable technology. Responsible for mentoring, driving standards, ensuring code performance. Telecommuting permitted up to 4 days per week.

Qualifications

Required:

  • Must be presently authorized to work in the U.S. without a requirement for work authorization sponsorship by our company for this position now or in the future

  • This position requires a Bachelor’s degree, or foreign equivalent, in Computer Science, Electronic Engineering, Information Systems, Information Technology, or a related field

  • 5 years of experience in Java development or a related field

  • Must have professional experience with using:o Using Spring, Hibernate, or Struts frameworks to develop new software projects o Using Java platform for delivering production grade ready features for scalability, maintainability, fast and secure web applications connected to databaseo Developing Spring Boot applications for fast build and deploy processo Creating and implementing SQL to save, retrieve, update, and delete data used in software application development and supporto Working in Amazon Web Services (AWS) or similar cloud products for deployment, monitoring, and scalability of applications and security over the Cloudo Using RESTful web services and service-oriented architecture for lightweight, highly scalable, and maintainable service-oriented client-server architectureo Working throughout a full software development lifecycle and performing end-to-end testingo Utilizing JIRA, Confluence, or similar tool to track the progress of requirement gathering, design, and code developmento Implementing Agile development methodologies and tools (Scrum, Kanban) for code development, instruction, and guidance on new tasks and assignmentso Using Bitbucket and GIT for source control management
