Responsibilities

Enterprise Holdings is expanding its Rate Management department and has an exciting opportunity for a new IT Senior Manager. This is an opportunity to lead full stack software delivery while leveraging technologies such as React, AWS cloud and Java API’s.

The Rate Management team is responsible for a suite of applications that range from the new modernized Pricing Maintenance application to Revenue Management products such as Big Data and PRISM, our rate strategy application. Together, our systems give EHI a competitive pricing edge in the Rental Car industry.

As an IT Senior Manager, you will be responsible for the delivery of the modernized Pricing Maintenance application. You will lead multiple EHI Agile scrum teams made up of software engineers, business analysts, and test engineers. You will also manage third party vendor partners to ensure project deliverables and timelines defined in statement of work (SOW) contracts are being met.

Your primary responsibilities will include collaborating with other IT teams and business stakeholders to understand project requirements, understanding staffing needs, working with your teams to deliver software, managing vendor relationships, presenting project status to key stakeholders, contributing to project and release planning, and ensuring that software is properly supported in production.

This position is also responsible for people management activities including career planning/support, training, interviewing, hiring, rewarding, disciplining, and conducting performance and salary reviews.

Qualifications

Required:

  • Must be presently authorized to work in the U.S. without a requirement for work authorization sponsorship by our company for this position now or in the future

  • The Senior Manager position requires 8 or more years of related experience

  • 3 or more years of proven success leading a team within a large enterprise IT organization

  • Experience leading high performing software development teams

  • Experience with Agile software development methodologies such as Scrum

  • Experience working with and managing third party vendor partners to complete projects

  • Experience working with large statement of work contracts

  • Proficient knowledge of project management concepts, from planning and inception, through implementation and support

  • Excellent analytical skills as proven through past success creating, implementing, and executing transformational strategy

  • Proven leadership, results orientation, and self-motivation traits

  • Excellent relationship building skills

  • Superb communication skills – both written and verbal designed to engage an audience across a broad range of technical expertise and/or business acumen

  • High degree of collaboration skills; works well with others as it relates to generating ideas

  • Strong skills and experience mentoring and developing technology professionals, to ensure the team’s success and enable the employees to achieve their career goals

  • Commitment to protecting our customers, our employees, and our brands by incorporating security and compliance in all decisions; ensures security policy and procedure requirements are met; continuously identifies opportunities for improving security and implements strategies to improve our security posture

Preferred:

  • Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Computer Information Systems, Management Information Systems, or related field preferred

  • Experience with the following:

  • Knowledge of API and service-oriented architecture (SOA)

  • Experience in a React and Java development environment

  • Experience working in cloud environment like AWS

  • Experience with full-stack or front-end web application development

  • Experience overseeing a work queue such as Jira, ServiceNow, etc.

  • Participating or facilitating production outage troubleshooting sessions and providing root cause explanations to leadership
