We are seeking an innovative and results oriented Manager (Agile) in our newly formed Insurance Services area. This new area, focused on the development of products and services for various stakeholders throughout the accident management lifecycle, represents an opportunity for the right candidate to help drive the development of this new business line while also establishing a new and advanced technology platform. Specially, this candidate will be involved with establishing and maintaining the Scorecard 3.0/2.0 Products, leveraging a variety of technologies including AngularJS, D3, other web 2.0 Frameworks and Cisco’s Information Server/Data Virtualization.

We’re looking for a Manager (Agile) with a strong product development and business analysis skill set who is looking to join a growing team. You will have the opportunity to collaborate with senior IT leaders while leading complex IT projects that support and advance the way we do business. You will be responsible for planning, leading, organizing, and motivating agile project teams to achieve a high level of performance and quality in delivering agile projects that provide exceptional business value to our internal business teams and external customers. In this role you should be able to create and maintain Kanban/SCRUM boards but do so with an eye towards product development (i.e. not just transcribing tasks but helping to define them) and can communicate well with both our internal teams and external vendors. We’re looking for someone who wants to help define what an excellent application experience is and enjoys working with small, agile teams.

Key Areas of Responsibilities

  • Serve as the day to day Manager for the Scorecard 3.0 product.

  • Collaborate with the UX, Marketing and Product Owners on the creation and execution of a product roadmap.

  • Establish and maintain team metrics using Jira (cycle-time, velocity, etc.)

  • Practice Agile-like project management utilizing the Scrum-like framework to facilitate daily standups, release planning, sprint planning, sprint reviews or user acceptance testing, and retrospectives

  • Use your technical understanding in web products and supporting technologies to identify and communicate risk and technical impediments to delivery.

  • Partner closely with the business stakeholders throughout the project’s SDLC

  • Executing operational, tactical, and strategic product and team activities

  • Estimating time, cost and resources needed to complete projects and individual assignments

  • Leading team members in prioritizing and completing assigned project tasks

  • Creating, enhancing and maintaining processes that improve their team and potentially other department teams' effectiveness

Required:

  • Must be presently authorized to work in the U.S. without a requirement for work authorization sponsorship by our company for this position now or in the future

  • 3+ years of experience as a Manager with experience with the development of processes and metrics used in application development

  • 4+ years of proven experience in requirements tracking, change management, and roadmap creation.

  • Expert knowledge of all phases of the SDLC

  • Expert knowledge of SCRUM tools such as Jira or Confluence.

  • Good knowledge of process development and release management

  • Strong multitasking skills

  • Manage tasks against deadlines as well as mitigate risks

  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills

  • Must be committed to incorporating security into all decisions and daily job responsibilities

Preferred:

  • A bachelor's degree in computer science, Management Information Systems, related field or equivalent work experience

  • Experience designing business enterprise web applications or new software products a plus

  • Experience of working in an Agile/Scrum development environment and working within sprint teams.

  • Basic knowledge in HTML, CSS, Angular, and/or other common UI frameworks, so you have an understanding of what is realistic and can collaborate with and coach developers
