Responsibilities

As a Manager in Rental Operations, you will lead a development team in a fast-paced Agile environment. You will manage a team responsible for the ongoing support, maintenance, and enhancements of home-grown rental systems including web-based and Android and React mobile solutions. In this role, you will perform performance management responsibilities including writing and delivering performance appraisals, rewarding, coaching, mentoring, and developing your team. In this role there is a heavy emphasis on managing complex IT projects, for which you will be responsible for delivery and execution of.

Initially you and your team will contribute to the development, launch and rollout of our new rental system. This is so that you can become intimately familiar with the product and positioned to successfully provide support post launch. Upon launch, your team will transition to playing the critical role of supporting the product by working with our field operations to identify, triage and remediate any issues within all our active rental systems. You will also be responsible for developing key performance metrics and regularly report on the health of the systems. In this challenging role, you will have an opportunity to make a direct impact to the performance and capabilities of our current and future field operations, by delivering and supporting world class rental systems.

Qualifications

Required:

  • Must be presently authorized to work in the U.S. without a requirement for work authorization sponsorship by our company for this position now or in the future

  • Must be committed to incorporating security into all decisions and daily job responsibilities

  • 6+ years of related experience

  • Prior experience managing an application development team

  • Experience leading and mentoring technical professionals

  • Proven success delivering complex IT projects

  • Prior experience working on an Agile team

  • Must demonstrate a keen sense of understanding business priorities and foster a team that is flexible and adaptable to changing priorities and requirements

  • Must demonstrate the ability to motivate and direct employees and teams to accomplish goals

  • Must have strong leadership qualities, with the ability to establish and maintain solid working relationships with team members, peers, leadership, and other teams within the IT organization

  • Must have a commitment to collaboration and working cross-functionally with other teams

  • Excellent problem solving and critical thinking skills identify and experienced in identifying issues, determining root cause, and implementing fixes

Preferred:

  • Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Computer Information Systems, Management Information Systems, or related field preferred

  • Experience managing a Jira board

  • Experience managing an application support team
