The Application Security (AppSec) team is primarily responsible for providing authentication and authorization of role-based access control services to Enterprise applications. In addition, our team handles provisioning and de-provisioning of accounts and synchronization of identity information. We have more than 300 calling applications and the list continues to grow. Our business-critical application supports a core component of many major applications that service our rental customers and partners. Our suite of products includes AppSec Services, Admin Express, Password Manager, External Password Manager, Odyssey Security Bridge, Employee Express, and Logon Express. With our focus on integration, automation, and streamlining our systems and processes, the systems you work with touch not only our internal workforce around the globe, but our external partners as well. As a Manager in AppSec, you will manage a team that is responsible for ensuring that consistency, quality, and value is delivered to our customers. You will work with our clients to ensure we are focused on the right efforts and providing exceptional customer service to the solutions that rely on us. The role requires you to lead and provide guidance for the efforts assigned to your team, identify and resolve roadblocks, determine timelines, raise risks, identify solutions, and effectively communicate with all levels of the organization. Additional responsibilities include leadership to enhance processes, determine strategies and identify improvements to increase the overall effectiveness and efficiency of our solution. In this role you will help our team to navigate change that will be coming with integration of privileged access management solutions.

Required:

  • Must be presently authorized to work in the U.S. without a requirement for work authorization sponsorship by our company for this position now or in the future

  • Must be available to work across our 3 St. Louis locations at Weldon, Lakeside, and CCP

  • Must have 6+ years of related experience

  • Must have 2+ years of experience in a Manager role leading a team in application development, service fulfillment or a support organization

  • Must demonstrate the ability to motivate and direct teams to accomplish goals, and capability to establish and maintain solid working relationships with direct reports, peers, clients, senior management, and other departments

  • Must have the ability to manage the execution of operational, tactical, and strategic activities on a day-to-day basis, including identifying and resolving roadblocks

  • Must have previous experience managing people, including career planning/support, training, interviewing, hiring, rewarding, disciplining, and performance and salary reviews

  • Must have the ability to determine time and resources needed to complete assignments and lead team members in prioritizing and completing assigned tasks and projects

  • Must have the ability to develop and maintain procedures that support team activities and lead individuals in adhering to and supporting team procedures/standards

  • Must have excellent organizational, interpersonal, listening and communication skills – both verbal and written

  • Must have a professional attitude, a strong desire and ability to take ownership, and the ability to provide high quality customer service

  • Must set high standards for performance and follow through on performance requirements

  • Must have the ability to effectively manage problems and conflicts as they arise - including analyzing symptoms, identifying and defining the problem, establishing facts, drawing valid conclusions, and developing suggestions to influence resolution of the issue

  • Must be committed to incorporating security into all decisions and daily job responsibilities

Preferred:

  • Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Computer Information Systems, Management Information Systems, or related field preferred

  • Experience developing and delivering presentations, training sessions and demos

  • Experience leading a distributed team across multiple locations

  • Experience managing projects across multiple products, an experience leading a team through large scale initiatives

  • Experience with project management tools

  • Experience with Atlassian tools and approaches like Jira, Confluence, Agile, and Kanban
