Responsibilities

This innovative segment of the Enterprise car rental business focuses on a next generation business model for vanpooling. Commute with Enterprise enables commuters to save time and money while also reducing their carbon footprint. Commute is available in most major U.S. cities with a focus towards business and government agencies across the country.

As a Senior Business Analyst , you will play a critical role in the application development lifecycle and will be responsible for gathering, documenting, analyzing, reviewing, and maintaining detailed functional requirements to support the Agile product development process. You will serve as a primary interface between our IT team and the business stakeholders we support, as well as with subject matter experts from across the EHI organization. As a member of a development team, you will be working closely with project managers, software engineers/architects and quality analysts to maintain our existing solutions and implement new functionality. With your team, you will be responsible for evaluating business requests and identifying options that best serve business needs.

To be successful you will need to demonstrate a strong ability to:

  • Identify and prioritize the needs of multiple stakeholders.

  • Communicate effectively across various audiences including your IT team, other IT teams, business teams and vendors.

  • Prepare and deliver formal presentations to end users, stakeholders, and management.

  • Develop, review, validate, document, and maintain business and functional requirements.

  • Coordinate and facilitate meetings to define key capabilities and requirements that will enable stakeholders to define business strategy.

  • Serve as the primary interface between the user and the IT team.

  • Conduct structured walkthroughs of requirements with business and project team members.

  • Support test engineers for testing, quality assurance, end-user acceptance testing and validation for new or revised applications; may perform application, system and regression tests.

  • Identify potential problems that may arise with new or enhanced applications; communicate how problems will affect business.

  • Identify gaps, overlaps, and conflicting information in scope and requirements.

  • Display leadership and team centric skills, as well as strong problem-solving skills

  • Protect our customers, our employees, and our brands by incorporating security and compliance in all decisions and daily job responsibilities; follow security policies and procedures.

Qualifications

Required:

  • Must be presently authorized to work in the U.S. without a requirement for work authorization sponsorship by our company for this position now or in the future

  • 3-5 years of experience developing, interpreting, reviewing, validating, and documenting functional business requirements/specifications

  • 3+ years of experience working as an IT Business Analyst (Experience with an Enterprise product or application strongly preferred)

  • Experience creating use cases

  • Excellent at building and maintaining relationships across IT and business partners

  • Proven track record of taking initiative and driving a plan effectively

  • Secure in independent judgment and autonomous decision making

  • Strong ability to interpret complex requirements and effectively translate them for multiple audiences

  • Demonstrate strong organizational skills with keen attention to detail and customer focus

  • Experience preparing and delivering informal and formal presentations to own team, department, other IT teams, senior leadership, and business partners

  • A motivated self-starter with good desktop technology skills

  • Excellent time management and prioritization skills

  • Flexible in the face of changing priorities and requirements

  • Experience working with Agile methodologies

  • Experience with issue tracking tools such as JIRA as well as wiki and diagramming tools

  • Experience writing user stories and backlog grooming

  • Must be committed to incorporating security into all decisions and daily job responsibilities

Preferred:

  • Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Computer Information Systems, Management Information Systems, or related field preferred

  • Exposure to Kanban and Scrum

  • Knowledge of Gherkins syntax

  • Knowledge in identifying and creating test data to validate functionality

  • Knowledge of REST and SOAP Services

  • Knowledge of Backend Services

  • Experience in functional testing to assist QA
