The IT Car Sales Department partners with our business and IT Teams to deliver technology solutions that support our retail Car Sales operations. Enterprise Car Sales operates approximately 138 dealerships throughout the United States.

We have several exciting initiatives in IT Car Sales. We have a significant strategic business initiative underway to enhance the customer experience at our Car Sales locations. This effort will deliver new technology in our dealerships and online that will allow customers to be more engaged and interactive in the car purchasing process and enable our dealership employees to more effectively serve the customer’s needs. This is a transformational initiative for our Car Sales business, with the goal of providing an optimized, efficient and engaging customer experience.

In conjunction with this transformational initiative we are also focusing on how we can enhance our product portfolio to support more real-time access to our vehicle inventory. This capability and the migration away from many of our legacy products will create efficiencies and offer new sales opportunities for our business and buying opportunities for our customers.

The successful candidate will be an established integrator of people, processes and technology, a strategic leader, problem solver, and effective consultant who possesses a solid software design competency. This individual will have a proven track record of identifying, attracting and developing high-performing technical talent within their organizations. The Senior Manager will be responsible for fostering a highly creative, innovative, solutions-oriented team environment. Job responsibilities will include:

  • Provide direction to align solution with strategic goals

  • Balance and manage operational and business concerns to ensure consistent delivery of quality products and services

  • Lead resource identification and planning to support business objectives

  • Employ an engaging and professional leadership approach built on collaboration, transformational leadership principles, and diversity and inclusivity

  • Developing the team using your experiences, at the same time developing yourself by learning from the team experiences

  • Collaborate with architects—systems, software, network, and enterprise—to bring together various requirements into one solution; represents business requirements as they relate to architecture design and implementation

  • Lead the identification and documentation of core requirements; translate requirements into specific systems, applications, and process designs

  • Ensure the alignment of multiple solutions with one another as well as with business and IT tools, technologies, and goals

  • Recommend strategic solutions that reduce complexity of existing solutions and technology in the environment

  • Contribute to strategies for improving product health

  • Ensure all operational service level agreements (SLAs) are met and reported on regularly

  • Ensure high levels of external and internal customer service, technical expertise, productivity, efficiency and quality in staff performance

  • 8+ years of related experience

  • Must have 5 years’ experience successfully managing people including career planning/support, training, interviewing, hiring, rewarding, disciplining, and performance and salary reviews

  • Must have experience developing individuals and driving alignment within a team

  • Must have strong project management, time management and organizational skills

  • Must have a strong sense of initiative, requiring little direct supervision

  • Must have a broad understanding of IT ecosystems and structure

  • Must have experience managing application development

  • Must have proven experience working across the IT organization to accomplish business objectives

  • Must have proven experience managing external vendors and service providers

  • Must demonstrate excellent communication skills, both verbal and written, including good listening skills, influence and a strong leadership presence

  • Must have experience defining, developing, communicating, and implementing standards, processes, and procedures for the team in a collaborative and diverse environment

  • Must have experience determining scope of work, work prep and making work assignments in a fast paced, high-performance team

  • Must ensure compliance to and uphold security standards, processes, and procedures in all decisions and daily job responsibilities

  • Must provide escalation assistance; recommend potential solutions to issues; follow established escalation procedures; resolve complex issues

  • Must be committed to incorporating security into all decisions and daily job responsibilities


  • Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Computer Information Systems, Management Information Systems, or related field preferred

  • Experience working in an Agile/Iterative development lifecycle

  • Working knowledge of Jira and Confluence
