Enterprise Holdings Supply Chain Contract Specialist - Remote in St. Louis, Missouri


The Contract Specialist’s primary responsibility is to write, negotiate and maintain contracts, statements of work (SOW), NDAs, addendums, maintenance agreements and other related documents and contract templates. The Contract Specialist will utilize the Coupa contract lifecycle management tool, manage contract and negotiation status and implement contract management best practices. In this role, the Contract Specialist will advise internal teams on various contractual risks, business strategies and other issues related to commercial agreements, and will also assist with the continuous development of the contract processes. When appropriate, this position will require collaboration with other Enterprise departments and may support most Enterprise brands and business divisions.

This position reports into our Corporate Headquarters in St. Louis, MO. For St. Louis based candidates, this is a hybrid position. For candidates outside of St. Louis, remote work is available.

  • Structures, negotiates, administers, analyzes and maintains contracts

  • Responds to complex inquiries regarding contract obligations, modifications and revisions

  • Reviews and analyzes contractual obligations of the parties as requested

  • Prepares and disseminates information regarding contract status, compliance, modifications, renewals, pointed summaries for legal department requests and inquiries, etc.

  • Identifies business risks associated with contractual commitments and collects and organizes information in support of business risk assessments

  • Responsible for consultation and escalation to leadership & EHI's legal department for any contractual issues that need legal consultation

  • Acts as the primary contact between the project team and/or business unit and Legal, ensuring that all legal and contractual matters are addressed efficiently and promptly

  • Responsible for informing the project team of the requirements of the contract

  • Develops and integrates contract management tools, templates, methods and processes

  • Develops and provides contract training as needed

  • Achieves a reasonable level of understanding of Enterprise’s major business areas in order to communicate effectively with project team and provide relevant advice

  • Responsible for implementation of contract management best practices, processes and assure consistency across all contracts

  • Attend team and group meetings and attend/complete required training

  • Bachelor's Degree

  • Two (2+) years of relevant experience drafting and negotiating contracts

  • Strong ability to prepare contractual terms and conditions as well as contract summaries for stakeholders

  • Knowledge of legal language

  • Experience using diplomacy to negotiate and resolve conflicts and to persuade others to embrace strategies proposed

  • Ability to interact cross-functionally and with all levels of management

  • Intermediate proficiency in Microsoft Office Products (i.e. Excel, Word, Outlook, Access)

  • Must be authorized to work in the United States and not require work authorization sponsorship by our company for this position now or in the future
