The Southern New England Group for Enterprise is looking for a Seasonal Talent Acquisition/ Human Resources Assistant from approximately May/June, 2018 through September, 2018. This is up to a 150 day position and is located at our Group headquarters in Windsor Locks, CT. The TA/HR Assistant will provide support to Specialists and Managers within the TA and HR departments. The TA/HR Assistant may be a resource for Generalists, Talent Acquisition and/or Training & development professionals. This position may also serve as a point of contact for employees.
This is a seasonal full time position where you will work approximately 40-45 hours per week during business hours (M-F 8am- 6pm).
This position will be based in our administrative office which is located at 8 Ella Grasso Turnpike, Windsor Locks, CT 06096.
Set up and maintain personnel files including extensive filing
Input data into HR Database (PeopleSoft) - new hires, terms, promotions, benefits, etc.
Assist with New Hire and Benefits Orientations as needed
Send onboarding to New Hires
Communication with New Hires with regards to start dates and information needed
Book hotels for New Hire Orientation
MT and Intern training binders/materials
Track performance reviews and send reminders to management
Assist with quarterly events ( Intern kickoff event and scheduling of training classes)
Run new hire background checks
Conduct new hire employee reference checks
Create job postings using our ATS (ICIMS) for internal postings
Schedule 2nd and 3rd round interviews
Perform miscellaneous job duties as assigned
Maintain a regular and reliable level of attendance and punctuality
Minimum Criteria for the position
Must be at least 18 years old
Must have at least 6 months of customer service experience
Peoplesoft experience is a plus
Must have a valid driver's license with no more than two moving violations and/or at fault accidents in the past three years.
No drug or alcohol related incident on driving record within the past five years.
Must be authorized to work in the United States and not require work authorization sponsorship by our company for this position now or in the future.
Must be within an hour commute of our administrative office in Windsor Locks, CT
Apart from religious observations, must be available to work 40-45 hours per week within the following hours of operation: M-F 8:00am-6pm
This is a seasonal position and will begin in May/June with an end date no later than September 30th, 2018.
Basic Microsoft Office skills: Intermediate level preferred
